GIRLS IN SYNTHESIS

Following on from their second full length album, The Rest Is Distraction, UK’s experimental post-punk outfit GIRLS IN SYNTHESIS have just released the magnificent ‘Die Leere’ EP on Germany’s very ownHound Gawd Records. This mesmerizing release sees the band strip back some of the atonal, noisy elements of their sound and replace it with an intense sparseness, a glassy clarity and added melodic touch. The band’s trademark tribal drums and driving bass are still front and centre, alongside warped,
deathrock-influenced modulated guitar figures, all adding up to a refreshing update on their truly innovative sound.
Formed in 2016, GIRLS IN SYNTHESIS are John Linger (bass / vocals), Jim Cubitt (guitar / keys) and NicolePinto (drums). The trio’s double a-sided debut single ‘The Mound’/’Disappear’ came out inthe early partof 2017, and since then they have established themselves as the most forward thinking, viscerallychallenging band around with unmissable live shows that continue
to excite and astound in equalmeasure.Unlike any other group around on contemporary music scene Girls In Synthesis are highly
prolific,and following a string of sold out shows across Europe in February of 2023, the band have been tirelesslyworking on their greatly anticipated third full length album, set for release in the Spring of 2024. Supporting the release will be a run of shows across the UK and Europe, bringing their captivating sonic assault back to their audience. Be prepared for a big year as Girls In Synthesis set to explode out of the UK DIY underground onto the world stage.
