Olivia Dean

Born and raised in Walthamstow, Olivia Dean is one the UKs brightest rising stars, praised for her endearing, down-to-earth lyrics and magnetic, feel-good live performances. To date, Dean has released her Mercury Prize shortlisted, 4 charting debut album Messy, three acclaimed EPs Ok Love You Bye, What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays? and Growth and in 2021 achieved her first top 20 single with her cover of The Christmas Song, recorded for Amazon Originals.

Of announcing her biggest tour to date, Olivia shares: I cant wait to fill these rooms with love and warmth and dancing feet. Its gonna be very special and I cant wait to sing with you all.

This announcement follows an incredible run of live shows this summer which has seen Olivia play to packed audiences across the UK and beyond, at festivals including Glastonbury, All Points East, Montreux Jazz festival and many more, as well as a sold out outdoor show at Somerset House, which was the fastest selling of the whole series.

Along with playing Glastonbury (with headliner Elton John singing her praises: I think shes a big star ... shes a fabulous singer, shes beautiful, shes got that personality that really shines through), and her first.

US headline shows, Olivia has fulfilled two more of her childhood dreams this year; playing on Jools Holland and being nominated for the Mercury Prize; i stewarded the mercurys in 2015 holding umbrellas and now i get to go as an artist. anything can happen!.

Olivias debut album Messy has been shortlisted as a 2023 Mercury Prize with FREENOW Album of the Year, with the ceremony taking place on 7th September. Released in June via EMI and debuting at 4 in the Official Charts, Messy cements Olivia Dean as one of the most original and versatile voices in UK pop.

Crafting classic yet conversational hooks with genre-fluid tinges, shes honed a way of exploring universal themes of love, loss and everything in between with razor-sharp but open-hearted storytelling. Messy features the singles Dive, Danger, UFO, Carmen and The Hardest Part, with Olivia recently sharing a special new version of the track featuring Leon Bridges.
