Die Tanz-Performance ist ein Kampf mit der Wahrnehmung von Weiblichkeit und greift die Einschränkungen von Identität und Erscheinung in der Gesellschaft an. Gleichzeitig entsteht ein spannendes Märchen mit mystischen Elementen, das die Fantasie anregt und Bilder längst vergangener Zeiten hervorruft. Das alles garniert mit dem Markenzeichen von Arkeolog 8: harter, urbaner Tanz mit Groove und Energie. Ab 13 Jahren.

Arkeolog 8 ist eine genre-übergreifende Tanz-Kompanie. Sie arbeiten sowohl an eigenen Produktionen als auch in der Pädagogik und der Integration durch Tanz.

Get to know Lucy; fragile, strong and proud. There’s more to her than what you see at first glance. The many struggles inside and thoughts on her mind are slowly but surely exposed and loose up boundaries between reality, perception and fiction. Who is she and what is her story? Lucy is a wrestle with the perception of femininity, a performance batteling the limitations on identity and appearence in society due to both old and prevailing norms. At the same time an exciting fairytale with mystical elements that inspires the imagination and evokes images of bygone times and long since forgotten people. Tight braids and heavy skirts sweeps us into a captivating performance with the typical expression of the swedish dance company Arkeolog 8: tough, urban dance with groove and power.

Arkeolog 8 is a cross-genre dance company which can be explained as not focusing on genre but using the dancers moving background as a library of shape, dynamics and expression to build their pieces. The expression of the piece depends instead on a chosen theme and concern that create layers of both abstraction and concrete elements that provide hooks to the inexperienced and gaps to the experienced. With a fragmented narrative Arkeolog 8 gently rock the audience into their, often, intense performances. The company works with methods that enable co-choreographing because they believe in a collective artistry.
